Daytripping around Antigonish

Sherbrooke Village Loop

Leaving the coastal communities of the Sunrise Trail this Loop takes you across country to the Eastern shore. From Highway 104 at Exit 32 you will travel Route 7 through picturesque rolling farmland and beautiful lake shores. On your way, stop at the Ohio turnoff and take a little time to watch the eagles' fish in the shallow waters of Gaspereaux Lake. On entering Sherbrooke follow the signs to the historic Sherbrooke Village Museum. Plan to spend about 3 hours at this wonderful living history museum where special demonstrations are featured throughout the village.

Eastern Shore Attractions & Adventure Package

Tour Sherbrooke Village which is a living history and depicts a typical Nova Scotian village from the 1860-pre-ww1: Get a feeling for the people who made their living by the sea and depended on the Port Bickerton Light House, now an Interpretive Center with a beach park and hilking trails. Visit the community of Goldenville, this small community that produced major Gold finds in 1861-1942. Visit the St. Mary's River Interpretive Center and go back in time to get a sense of the fishing history and leisure aspect of life on this magnificent river.
